The CSS has a Visiting Fellowship programme. Under this programme, scholars aiming to work on specific issues and working towards producing a monograph are given a fellowship including a contingency grant for field-work and other support services that are normally available to CSS faculty members. Visiting fellows are provided with on campus semi furnished accommodation. Since 1982, fourteen visiting fellows, working on a wide range of topics, have availed of this facility and brought out publications.
