After the completion of masters in Anthropology from the University of Calicut, I did my research in an inter-disciplinary social science department, School of Social Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. I was being awarded Jawaharlal Nehru Scholarship for Doctoral Studies by Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Teenmurti House, New Delhi.

Persuading research on the changing scenarios of tribal communities’ economic, social, spatial relations and identiy due to the “conservation” of forest and “development”. Understanding it historically by using conceptual and theoretical insights opened up by Post-Structuralism.  Attempt is also made to address the contemporary debate in academics and policy research on “community participation and biodiversity conservation”.
