Bio Sketch

Formerly a Professor of Social Work at Andhra University, Professor Devi Prasad had done extensive research in the areas of Family, Ageing, Child Welfare, SHGs, Civil Societies, social work education, HIV/AIDS, and research methodology. He has wide contacts both in academic as well as in Development sector and has been working closely with the latter. Dr.Prasad has to his credit a number research articles published both in national and international journals. He was involved in international and national research projects, conducted Evaluations and authored a number of research reports. Dr.Prasad is represented on the boards of reputed NGOs, and on several academic bodies/institutions such as UGC Visiting Committees, TISS, Mumbai, etc. He has so far guided 10 PhD scholars successfully.

1. Working on publication of three books: SHGs and Social Work Profession, Elder abuse and Neglect, and NREGA.
